We provide an integrated service for children who have experienced trauma, often resulting in emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We provide children’s residential care and education across the UK – with significant presence in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Wales, Cumbria and Scotland.
As part of our children’s integrated approach, we provide education through our own schools or outdoor learning as part of Response Services.
Grounded in Trauma and Attachment Theory, our Secure base model fosters secure, nurturing relationships that support recovery and emotional growth. We work closely with care teams to reframe young people’s experiences and promote resilience.
“The Head Teacher and her team have been exceptional in helping my child transition into education. They quickly identified both strengths and areas needing further support, conducting assessments to guide future planning. My child’s transition into school was well-managed, child-cantered, and highly supportive. This process included home visits from the Head Teacher, social stories at a level appropriate for my child, and taster session, all of which helped build a strong foundation of safety and trust, making the experience of moving school much smoother for my child.”

"The staff team supporting my young person have gone above and beyond to ensure his safety and to assist him with developing his independence skills. The young person has been through extremely difficult situations during his time supported by the team and this has included mental health crises, exploitation concerns, substance misuse and risky relationships."

"I think the service does well in maintaining a good environment for the young people and the residential care workers. "

“Since our child has been attending Fitzroy Academy, we are really pleased with his progress as he is engaging more and supported with his educational targets. The school team provide positive updates at EPEP meetings and work well with the local authority to effectively improve experiences for the children and young people that attend”
