Our Homes
We operate Ofsted and CSSIW registered Children’s
Homes in Shropshire, Staffordshire, Powys and Gwynedd
with the majority judged to be “Outstanding”
and the remainder judged to be “Good”.
At New Reflexions we do not believe in large multi-bed
“units” so our homes range from one bed
single placements to a maximum of three young people
sharing. Whatever their size each home is furnished
to provide a warm nurturing environment that reflects
the family values central to our hopes and aspirations
for every young person placed and the locations have
been deliberately selected as appropriate settings to
enable young people a sense of safety and privacy whilst
they develop the necessary skills to overcome the impact
of traumatic events.
Whilst all of our homes provide an integrated service,
the individual needs of young people determines the
location and size of home they are placed in and so
appropriate planning at the referral stage is crucial
to a positive outcome. Any young person deemed unable
to thrive in a shared setting is placed in one of our
single placements with the emphasis on developing the
skills and confidence to enable their transition to
a shared environment and eventually to mainstream independence
through our supported housing service.
Wherever the location, every young person has access
to our Registered School, Therapy Department and Head
Office and the emphasis is on developing a sense of
belonging within the wider organisation and a feeling
of ownership of their future.
